Are Podcasts Guest Interviews A Waste of Time?

“Hey Champion, here’s my framework and philosophy around podcasts.

Short answer…depends. Here is why!

What’s your goal with it?

A) if you need to refine your message and you need to speak it out loud go on shows for practice.

Aside from that NEVER go on podcasts that aren’t well marketed. Meaning the host is a) not a marketer and b) doesn’t have the stats or value to prove it.

Here’s why you go on podcasts:

1. SEO (well marketed ones)

2. Positioning Your Offer (leads/giveaway freebie)

3. Generate Sales

4. Leverage Influencer Credibility (go on Lewis Howes show you get 1,2 and 4)

5. Connecting With People Hard to Connect With (VC, Investors, Mentors)

That’s it!

Majority of podcasts do not know how to build a market so if you go on there show to get Leads to give away an offer…

Best make sure it’s a drip to an$2K or $5K offer like a Challenge because the numbers are too small!

Most people have a low ticket freebie or something under $19…

That’s a quantity game now YOU NEED VOLUME

Make sure you don’t waste your time with the podcaster and they show you statistics 📊

If you’re giving a freebie away…

In this scenario..

You need to give away too large a quantity to make the math make sense

If people only have 50 listens, 100 listens, 1000 listens there’s not enough quantity because normally it’s the law of 10% people click… And 10% of that people download or buy

So make sure if you’re playing the quantity game… You play the quantity game correctly?
